A Nike sub-brand traditionally known for its unique collaborations and innovative designs, the Nike Lab is back once again this season with its new Fragment Tech Windrunner Jacket. Co-designed with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design label, the jacket features a lamination of different ripstop nylon fabric, each with a variation of translucency.  The distinctive layering process also helps to highlight other design elements, like Windrunner’s signature 26-degree chevron up front. Complete with a reflective “fragment” branding on its back panel, the fragment design x Nike Lab Fragment Tech Windrunner Jacket comes in Dark Grey/Black-White or University Blue/Military Blue. Both are currently available through CONCEPTS in Boston and UNDFTD Chapters across the West Coast.

Nike Shoes Releases

  • Nike Air Max 97 – Black – Challenge Red Available

Of all the Air Max Legacy runners Nike Sportswear releases on the regular, the Nike Air Max 97 seems to be released least frequently. We saw several Air Max 97 VT colorways previewed but a different pari in black leather is the only one to hit retail so far, so that leaves at least three others along with the upcoming CVS edition squarely aimed at the casual sneakerhead looking for a bit of extra comfort. That same consumer will find these new AM97s equally satisfying their nubuck mudguard and red midsole/airbag a novel combination for this runner that’s been out nearly a decade and a half. We have some more photos so you can see them up-close after the jump, and then grab a pair from select NSW spots like 95soleman on eBay.

  • Nike Air Max Hyperize – Summer 2010

If you’ve ever wondered what the Nike Hyperize would look like with a full Air Max sole, here you go. When the Hyperdunk evolved into the Hyperize and the Hypermax, it was the latter that received Air Max technology, but now the Hyperize will also benefit from the extra cushioning. Not only does the Air Max sole unit provide some nice performance advantages, but it also punches up the look of the shoe, adding some new complexity to the design. So far, there are three Air Max Hyperize colorways scheduled for Summer 2010 that each offer a distinctively different look, from the bold and colorful white/green/yellow, to the tonal red/white, to the team look of the navy/white pair. Check out a better look at all three after the jump and let us know if you’re feeling the Air Max edition of the Hyperize. Via NT.
